The PlayStation 5 is going to cost you R11 999.99, or R9 999.99 if you go disc-less. The local pricing was made available earlier today, with a disc and digital version to choose from. The console is set to launch on 19th of November here in South Africa.

ASUS, Intel and Vodacom are bringing South African CSGO fans the ROG Invitational this weekend. The first in a series of “big” end of year online tournaments for the shooter kicks off tomorrow with a studio broadcast. Teams will compete online, from home.
ATK’s Overwatch team won the #OverwatchByATK tournament that came to a close last week. The tournament offered up a R50 000 prize pool and was the brainchild of Lizelle “VirgoLiz” Smith, a competitive player who orchestrated the tournament set up after VS Gaming dropped the title from their yearly leagues.
Varsity College will host their first CSGO 1v1 Championship this weekend. Varsity College students were encouraged to enter to win a host of gaming products and steam vouchers. 64 players have signed up to compete. The tournament is part of the “International Day of University Sport” which occurs on 20 September.
Local streamer ThendoPlays has announced that he is the new Acer Predator brand ambassador. The streamer made the announcement in a tweet. He joins the ranks of current ambassador Julia “Bish” Robson and previous representative, YouTuber MisterFlak.
Local Esports Organisation, Nibble Esports, has launched a clothing line. The organisation opened sales for their NiBBLEComfort streetwear range earlier this week.
Among Us is the new trust-breaking, Monopoly-level-friendship-ruining bucket of laughs that everyone and their mother seems to be playing on stream these days.
