Comic Con Africa organisers, Reed Exhibitions, say the event is still scheduled to go ahead at the end of September 2020. In an exclusive interview with Fortress of Solitude an unnamed spokesperson for the company says they have “extraordinary and innovative” steps in place to handle crowd control, exposed food and physical contact.

Sinister5 FIFA Player, Daniel “Dox” Osemeudiame, is attempting his World Record for the longest time spent playing a football game this week. Dox started his livestream today (14 May) and will be streaming up until Sunday (17 May).  

The Techfest Expo, which was set to take place in June, has been postponed. The event joins a growing list of other gaming and tech events that have been postponed in South Africa because of COVID-19. The organisers’ full statement is available here.

More than 300 Warzone players participated in the Autumn Warzone Openthis past weekend, with PC team 34th Battalion taking first place and R4000, sponsored by Astro Gaming. Several console teams found themselves in the top 10 including players from Elite Gaming, Astra Infinite and iEnvy Gaming.
